I think being a very political person, I somehow understand and even envy those who choose not to take strong sides when it comes to national and social issues. TBH, mahirap rin magkaroon ng pakielam lagi. People see you as toxic, others see you as a wellspring of negativity.

To choose to be apolitical, in a way, is self-care. It's a form of escape, which I respect. And in many ways, when I see social media posts from apolitical friends, I get reminded that there are things worth appreciating, like food, or video games, or stuff aside from politics.

In a way, it's my form of escape, my own self-care. Because I know, I've gone too deep to enjoy little things.
