Here& #39;s my own .02 on JBB:

Loved his books. I re-read one three times. I learned a lot about how to appreciate b-movies and bad movies from reading them.

But these days, nope. He revels in ignorance, he insults my friends & filmmakers I respect, and I think his shtick is gross.
When I read he was coming back on Shudder, I was happy for him, and I tuned in a few times. Didn& #39;t care for the vibe he was putting out, at all. The man knows his movies (and lots of random trivia) but sorry to say I& #39;m not a fan.

Horror movie twitter will now demolish me.
I have occasionally chimed in on some of his more questionable (ok, stupid) comments, but I& #39;m getting tired of that. Outrage is what he wants, I think. And I got other shit to worry about these days.
and I& #39;m not trying to help & #39;cancel& #39; anyone. just sharing my opinions. if you like his show you can still be my friend
even back in 1986, when I knew/cared nothing about politics whatsoever, we all thought this was pretty disgusting https://twitter.com/MrJosh79/status/1260694892868562944">https://twitter.com/MrJosh79/...
this is a great editorial. if anyone gives you shit here on twitter for expressing a fair opinion, let me know. i can help a little. cc @GaylyDreadful & all horror nerds https://twitter.com/GaylyDreadful/status/1260713139206868992">https://twitter.com/GaylyDrea...
I get that the guy has fans, but the man definitely tries to provoke, on purpose. He& #39;s allowed to. But when you provoke people you have to expect a response from people, whether it& #39;s on twitter or in an editorial.
I& #39;d like to note that 2 people who work on this show (a producer called Justin and some composer guy) saw this thread, flipped the fuck out, and came after me in a fashion that has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

If I was a coward like them I& #39;d call my friends at Shudder.
