For an english project I took a look at one of the most dedicated group of fans in America, the #BuffaloBills. In this thread I will share some of my findings about these fans and what makes #BillsMafia so special.
The Bowling Ball Shot

One weird tradition the Bills fans have is taking a shot out of a bowling ball, dropping the ball, and blowing a vuvuzela to top it all off. Attached is a video of this.
Pinto Ron

One of the most notable Bills fans is Pinto Ron. Who before every home game gets sprayed by various condiments such as ketchup and mustard. Attached is a video of this as well.
NBC Sports posted a video to their youtube channel of them attending a tailgate and speaking to some of the fans there (). I found what the fans had to say very interesting.
Fans in the video described the fandom as a fabric of the city and as a part of their family. Another fan in the video said that Bills fans are "people who love their team, love their city, made that an infectious spirit,"
They even have the attention of the players, in the NBC video running back Frank Gore said the fans were part of the reason he came to Buffalo and talked about how the fans are the reason that the team plays so hard.
To wrap this thread up, I think that Bills to the outside person may appear to be a group of crazy fans who do wild things for attention. However, in reality they are tight knit group who have been brought together by their love of the team and show their dedication to Buffalo.
