1/ Let& #39;s talk OSS attribution for a second. Not licensing and legal (even though it& #39;s important). Person to person (team to team). Be kind, it& #39;s super important to let someone or a team know that they had a great idea or great project that you plan to utilize or build upon.
2/ Reach out and try to include them in the discussion, don& #39;t assume they aren& #39;t interested. Attribute their project/idea with a callout in your repo README. Be thankful! People can be quick to criticize and slow to compliment. We are all building on the work of others!
3/ I know it& #39;s not required but TRUST ME it makes a difference. Receiving thanks from people that were inspired by something you said/built/ideated/blogged out makes this whole open source thing worth while. Take the time to thank a project or a person publicly today!
