#TrekPositive Wednesday is almost over here in the UK, and I don't have a photo share. I wish I had the courage or the confidence to own, let alone wear, a trek uniform like so many of you wonderful trekfam. Perhaps one day. But in it's stead I'd like to say a few words...
Many are finding things - maybe everything- difficult right now, and are turning here for kind words and comfort. To them I say this: We will be OK. One day, not so far from now, we will step out of our homes to a world that took a hell of a knock, but took it together...
We will cherish our loved ones we have all the more for all those wee have lost. We will understand how valuable it is to hold each other, to meet with each other, to congregate and befriend and support each other because of this horrible time we went through...
Things - and we- will be better for it. I have faith that science and the fundamental goodness of humanity will save us, and I have that faith because of #StarTrek. I have hope because star trek is hope. I am. Aan optimist because star. Trek is optimistic...
And I believe in humanity because star trek has always believed in humanity. Our capability to be good has always outweighed our capacity for cruelty, and adversity such as this will always serve to prove our ingenuity, resilience and kindness...
That's all. Things will be OK, because humanity is better than this. Be kind, be hopeful, and watch #StarTrek, because the message it has makes us better people. It certainly has for me. Take care all, happy #TrekPositive Wednesday, and LLAP đź––
