I don't care about Michael Flynn especially. I don't think the FBI handled him right and I don't want them doing that to me, so I care in that regard. I also think he did sell his country out, showed he was monumentally stupid and shouldn't have been NSA.
And obviously, I get that we surveil foreign govt officials' phone calls and I have no problem with that. But if it involves an American, we need to agree on what standard appropriately protects civil liberties.
And a LOT of people are taking a partisan not principled position that conflicts with where they were a decade ago. Personally, I think you need some sort of warrant. Maybe a FISA, not a constitutional warrant, but FISA court can't be a rubber stamp.
