When I first started making videos, I was bored out of mind by the trendy "deep analysis".
Why would I barely feel anything when watching, why would I not feel any personality?
I try to do mostly personality and attempted pathos with analysis blended in there. https://twitter.com/loverboymedia/status/1260655465202978817
And that's where the "pretentious" bit comes from I think.
Because if I fail at making the viewer feel what I'm trying to get them to feel, it comes off as sappy/faux emotional.

The thing is... I would *much* rather watch a 15 year old who has never studied film talk about why he truly loves a movie, than watch a 35 year old explain why Enemy is really about commitment issues.
Art, to me, is about passion and love. As long as you are making a video, negative or positive, that contains passion and love, you are a hero in my book.
