3/In addition to tweets, we've now corresponded directly w/ various int'l standards orgs. If there is an "open", public health travel doc modernization underway, it appears to be some kind of secret (ie not happening) despite INTENSE media interest. 4/So we would say that, despite all the media & think-tank interest in travel health doc modernization, @RANDCorporation @charles_ries @WSJ it appears not happening. Suggest @Delta CEO Ed Bastion ask @icao& other standards groups begin public "RFCs" &c for travel health doc work.

6/"Floated" w/ @CDCgov per these articles. CDC is in CAPSCA at @ICAO (&US also in #G20 & #UNSC that are getting press heat for inaction) so could have @NIST submit draft int'l standard to @isostandards (rather than asking Chile which per press is ahead on this). AND ISSUE PR.

7/Again, we checked with some of these standards bodies, and as far as can tell, no working groups or work have commenced. So in the present intense media environment, this isn't happening. (Without a press release, this standards work basically isn't happening).
8/Also as @EU_Commission leading #GlobalResponse&has own standards agency @Standards4EU to ask ISO &c to start a working group (&is also in #G20 &UNSC that press has called on to act), we should also be asking the EU standards body #CEN (as NIST&CDC prob preoccupied w/ bleach&UV)
