A revolution has taken place in Arabia which will change South Asia forever. Umayyad Empire has toppled the Sassandis and now sits bordering the Three Indic Kingdoms.

800 AD

Ummayads are gone Abbasids have taken their place. And they have crossed the Indus. Multan and Sindh are gone. Kashmir stands.

9/24
900 AD:

Abbasids disintegration begins. Persiano-Muslim world breaks off. Samanids arise who will start revival of Persian civilisation in Islamic hegemony. Multan and Sindh rise from the ashes. Turkish Khagnate of Karakhanids also appear. Fun times.

1000 AD

Another history-altering era. Ghaznavid Empire arises in Afghanistan and looks East of Indus. Qaramtiya sect of Sindh and Multan will soon become history. Abbasids lose all power. Persian and Turkish fortunes soar.

1100 AD

Wrath of Ghaznavids. Multan collapses, Qaramtiya Kings of Multan lose their crown and their lives. Ghaznavids venture now into Gangetic lands. Seljuqs rise up.

1200 AD

Ghaznavids collapse. Ghurids take their place. Muslim rule of India now starts taking its roots and shape. West Indic, East Indic (Sans Kashmir) and West Gangetic Kingdoms start collapsing.

1300 AD

Era of Sultanate of Delhi begins with Mamluks, while Mongols empire splinters into different Khagnates. Mamluks however managed to keep the Mongol hordes out of South Asia

1400 AD

Timurids rise up and start hammering east, north, south and west, while retaining their base of power in Persia and Central Asia.

1500 AD

Taimurids split into Principalities and Fiefdoms of different principalities. From one such Taimurid Principality, Ferghana, Babur would come.

1600 AD

Mughals have not firmly grasped South Asia and Afghanistan. 3 Gunpowder Empires on the rise, vying and also cooperating with each other.

1700 AD

The Mughal golden age. The Empire will only go downhill from this century onwards.

1800 AD

Old order collapses. Marathas, Abdalis & Pashtuns, British rise up as new players.

1857

War of Independence fails. British take over South Asia. Kalat and Baluch states will remain outside South Asia until the Khan of Kalat himself requests the British to count him among one of Indian princelings.

Afghanistan loses big time. Cedes Areas west of Indus, restoring historical Indic lands back to the fold where Gandhara blossomed. Subcontinent takes its modern shape (More or less)

Status quo, British expansion in Mid-East, Russian in Central Asia, Iran and Afghanistan take their modern shape. Ottomans barely hold on.

The situation as a result of independence of South Asia, creation of two state, Indo-Pak wars with Kashmir split and Bangladesh free.
