Context:

Property generates cash flow when a landlord assumes the risk of ownership and a tenant agrees to pay for somewhere to live.

This concept in the physical world translates to the digital world, too. Only you’re not confined by the size of the house or the number of residents.

You can collect “rent” around the clock, and from around the world.

Your digital real estate portfolio might be media you’ve recorded, words you’ve written, software you’ve built, or lessons you’ve taught...

It's also worth noting, no one can stop you from expanding.

Digital real estate isn’t finite. It’s not subject to the restraints of the physical world. You can increase the value of your property from anywhere, market it to anyone, and sell it more than once.

Also, the risk is a fraction of what you assume as a property owner.

While physical real estate investing has merit (full disclosure: I do it), the barrier to entry is significantly higher for most.

Another upside to digital real estate, if no one wants to buy your property, you can relocate and renovate with nothing more than an internet connection.
