Dear Christian,

Permit me to deviate a little bit from the theme of my last two letters. I hope to return to that subject matter later.

It has been observed that a few of us find it difficult to balance the old and new testaments. As a result, some have decided to throw the old
away completely.

I hope this analogy can bring a little clarity to the state of things.

Consider this:

When a house is being built, it gets to a point and certain level of destruction needs to be effected for other installations to be made (eg: piping, electricals, etc.).
Would an observer be correct to conclude that the builder changed his mind or didn't even know what he was doing from the beginning?

I think not

In like manner, I believe the new testament is the final building while the old is the necessary underlying structure for this
building to be. With this in mind, you can tell that operating solely with the principles of the old testament and disposing of it completely are equally wrong.

To have a complete understanding and be a full partaker of that which God is doing, an understanding of the old and
new testaments are of equal importance.

It is also important for us to have spirit-led disposition to properly place either principle where it should be.

Signed,
Your fellow servant of Jesus Christ. 😄
