Since we've ended up talking about #interpretinghistory today, and the stories & biographies of #interpreters that made it, I thought it would be a good idea to compile here, in one thread, a list of books about interpreters, including their memoirs & autobiographies #1nt / TK
I thought it would be a good idea to start with "L’interprète de conférence, Cet Inconnu" by Stefan Priacel, who interpreted at the #Nuremberg Trials, and then went on to work at the UN and teach at ESIT. Available for download in FR from the link. https://aiic.net/page/7599/l-interprete-de-conference-cet-inconnu/lang/2
Not a book, but a real treasure trove of #interpreter biographies, compiled for the "One Trial - Four Languages" Exhibition, a project launched and carefully curated by Elke Limberger Katsumi, our colleague from Germany.
