Thread on #Cardinals Kyler Murray
In his rookie year, Kyler demonstrated his elite deep ball accuracy. The ball placement can't get any better than thise.
On this roll out to the left, Kyler does a nice job of moving #90 out of his passing lane with his body/eye manipulation.
Love this play call from Kliff and execution from Kyler. All Kyler has to do his lob it up over the linebacker.
This essentially a mirrored flat-7 to separate the cover-2 look deep and have David Johnson run right up the seam. This is a great play call to not only spread out the two deep DB's, but it also puts David Johnson in a favorable matchup against a linebacker down the field.
Even while rolling back, Kyler throws an absolute dime deep to Larry. Over the corner and away from the deep safety.
Kyler was one of the best deep ball throwers in the NFL as a rookie. Dime outside the numbers.
This is play call has smash concepts on both sides. Kyler is looking at the single high safety. Depending on what side the safety shades towards, Kyler will throw to the opposite side.
As many sacks as Kyler caused in his rookie season, he also prevented a ton of them with his mobility as well.

This isn't a designed run, but Matt Judon is unblocked on the play. Instead of taking a sack, Kyler spins away and turns this play into a solid gain.
Nice quick pump fake to draw the defenders down before lobbing a perfect deep ball over them.
Kyler is slightly late on this throw and as a result slightly behind, but he is still able to fit this ball between the linebackers using his arm strength.
I felt like in his first game against the Lions, Kyler struggled against the blitz and took too many unnecessary sacks.

However, we saw immediate growth in his second game. On 3rd down, defense sends a blitz. Kyler finds a favorable matchup and gets the ball out quick.
On this throw up the seam, Kyler throws with anticipation into a tight window, preventing the defense from being able to react quickly enough.
Kyler is a dynamic runner on these read option plays. He beats James Bradberry to the outside on this play.

Bradberry ran a 4.45 40 time and Kyler looks significantly faster than him.
Kyler throws another dime up the seam. Lots of yards were left on the field with deep ball drops.
Again, I reallly loved Kliff's playcalling. He knew how to put his players into favorable positions and matchups. He gets Kirk running up the seam deep with Luke Kuechly on a mirrored smash concept look against cover-2, similar to the earlier play with David Johnson.
I think Kyler is the 2nd best running QB after Lamar.
Kyler prevents another sack on this play. Brian Burns comes blazing off the left side unblocked. Kyler has the awareness and speed to escape the pocket for a nice gain.
No one is open on the initial read, but Kyler extends the play and finds an open receiver.
3rd & 8. Kyler runs through all of his reads, before coming back to the left side to find an open David Johnson for a 1st down.
Watch Kyler evade the blitz from Bobby Wagner and then just create additional yards after the scramble.
Flat-7 high low concept to the left side. Kyler demonstrates really nice eye discipline to hold the safety in the middle before he throws to his corner route.
Kyler throws this ball with anticipation to prevent the sack. Notice how the ball arrives to the receiver right as he makes his break.
Kyler throws his receiver open up the seam with anticipation. Places the ball in a spot where only his guy can get it down field.
Kyler in the open field is just deadly. Defense #30 can attest to that.
Kyler is a deep ball master. Dropped into a bucket right over the deep safety.
Kyler demonstrates more eye discipline. Holding the deep safety in the middle with his eyes and then he has the arm strength to fire this ball outside the numbers to his receiver before the corner can get there.
Easily evades the corner blitz and finds a wide open receiver on the opposite side of the field.
Kyler's ability to neutralize pass rush with his elusiveness is special. This should have been a sack as his RT gets beat easily.

He evades Cameron Jordan and fires a laser beam throw to the sideline.
Kyler is an incredibly gifted thrower. The velocity and accuracy on this throw is insane.
