I have heard it all before. How traditional medicine is quackery and only useful for those who have a taste for bitter things because they are not effective for actual illnesses.

I have heard all that stuff before, how Africans died from polio and the SS genotype..
I have heard it all before, how only standardised tested chemical drugs are useful.

They have even told us that we live longer than our ancestors judging by data that has no source or no recollection of when it was collected.
I have heard it before, the African children who die because traditional medicine couldn't heal them.

They have told me about how herbs are just as useless as the medicine man who makes it himself.

They have discredited everything that is ours.

Our own people now even help
them with it.

I'm not an advocate for not getting orthodox medicine. Infact i cannot stand my local agbo because of its bitterness. It is a matter of taste. I'd rather use tasteless drugs.

My advocacy is about knowledge. I'm here to ask the questions.
Did you know that the plan to eliminate all competition to western medicine was the brain child of John D Rockerfeller?

Did you know that Rockerfeller himself owned a medicine company?

Did you know he was the one who convinced the US congress that all traditional medicines
were all unscientific quackery?

And became the gatekeeper of those who could practice medicine.

Now back to our history.

Did you know that Africa had civilizations that had lived and evolved thousands of years before any white man ever arrived on our shores?
Did you know that sicknesses are as old as man itself.

So in the absence of Western medicine, there had to be a way of healing people right?

Did you know that herbs and water were the main means of healing and we used these thousand of years and survived.
I know what you're thinking, polio afflicted African children and herbs couldn't do anything for them. Well, so does cancer afflict a lot of people and so does AIDS which has been termed "incurable". So yes, our medicine didn't work for all sicknesses, neither does orthodox ones.
But one thing was sure back then, medicine was developed through testing. Or you thought one man just went into the bush, picked a bunch of random leaves and healed people with them? No! Our medicine men had to go through years of research trying different combinations of herbs
before they finally found one that worked for a particular illness. And we lived like this for thousands of years before standardised medicine.

The African medicine man had his own scientific methods and it meant that Africans were able to survive for thousands of years
before we had access to white chemical medicines.

But one thing we know about the African medicine man's medicine was this. Once he found the right ingredients and it worked. That was the only medicine you'll need for that illness. You'll never need a stronger one or a weaker
one. You needed THAT one. Your body will never become immune to it like it does with regular malaria drugs. So maybe what the African medicine man lost in advancement, he gained in specificity and potency of his drugs. Maybe because the African medicine mans drugs took
years and years to work, once it worked, it worked. Maybe he would have eventually found a cure for polio. Maybe he wouldn't have needed immune reducing drugs. Because haven't you thought it my friends, how a certain drug suddenly stops working for you? It means, your system
has been weakened and now you need a stronger drug and it goes on like that.

There are so many things we do not know about African medicine and the African medicine man knew his limitations too. Which was why the "alarina" system was invented in the Yoruba marriage system.
The alarina was basically a private investigator that would be paid by one family to investigate the family of their in-laws before the children got married. So if the family had a history of terrible sickness, they didn't take a wife or husband from such.
So if your family was full of "abiku" who were basically SS children. They did not let you take a wife or husband from such. If that had gone long enough, such families would have become naturally extinct. Because they wouldn't be able to reproduce.
See! They had their ways. The current pandemic should open our eyes to one thing. There's a lot that the Western medicine man doesn't know too. There are ancient tribes living in the Amazon who are not concerned with hand sanitizers right now, neither are they extinct from not
using Western drugs.

So what is the point of all these my friends?

I'm trying to help you see that our own herbs are not useless. We have seen a lot of them work for years. Also that western drugs is built on a profiteering system with all their patents and what not.
A person who would benefit financially from a vaccine will do everything he could to ensure you do not try anything else.

What happened to chloroquine? Doctors said it worked. They tested it on a lot of patients and it worked. That suddenly got taken out of the news.
Chloroquine is a common malaria drug and it worked. So maybe that's why the common malaria herb mixture from Madagascar is working.

There is a lot we do not know and waiting until we know for certain before we try any other means would mean that a lot of people will die simply
because we didn't try. Or we thought our own ways were too archaic that they are utterly useless.

Think my friends. Think about all the lies that they have told to you concerning this pandemic. Think about how three people live in the same house and share bodily fluids and one
caught it but her husband did not, neither did the baby she's breastfeeding. If anything we know about corona is true. That should be impossible. Also I'll leave you with this.

Read on how we build strong immune systems or how our immune systems work and look at how
we have being told to "protect" ourselves. And figure out for yourself how to reconcile that.

Do not call your ancestors fools because you think you know a better way. The foolish civilizations didn't live to encounter white medicine.
Western medicine has been great for us, the researches that are funded by big money has been immense. We now know a lot better thanks to them, but we shouldn't reduce ourselves to people who stop thinking just because someone else is thinking for them.
African medicine is not useless and orthodox medicine is not infallible. Let's help ourselves however we can.

These infection disproportionately affects those of us the urban ones who have all the information on how to protect ourselves than it does those market women.
who believe it is a "rich people" disease. If anything we know about the virus is true. They should be the ones most affected for not "protecting" themselves. Maybe we need to learn a thing or two from them.

This is already long enough and I hope you see some point.
