Here's the thing. The unsubstantiated claims in the film, pale in comparison to the substantiated facts we knowSo if you're sharing this thing why not instead share the truth?

1. We spent 2 months on a herd immunity plan that would have killed 500K

2. As a result, we failed to order PPE, ventilators, tests or prep the NHS

3. We were altered Jan29th, the PM didn't bother to go to any briefings and the first orders went out March 11th.

4. The herd immunity plan was based on no known science, the WHO even had to reprimand us for suggesting it was.

5. Yet Gov Ministers got on stage to proclaim it was not only science but the absolute best approach.

6. And then point-blank denied saying that 2 weeks later

7. We failed on at least 5 occasions to learn from actual statistically validated science undertaken in other countries that we could have taken action against, but did not. The current estimate is that will add 1/3 more unnecessary deaths in the UK, so as of today 20,000 people

8. Our own pandemic preparedness plan advised that in the event of a respiratory outbreak of this type, we should be ahead of the game in ordering exactly the things we didn't order.

9. And we can't say we didn't know. Coz we'd failed a dry run of that plan in 2017. Badly

10. The same strategy is a Cabinet procedure. It cannot be deviated from without sign off from PM, Health Secretary and Science/Medical Chiefs followed by the whole cabinet.

Locks are there to protect us from just the sort of making stuff up as we go along we've had.
So how?

11. In 2013 a small group of Community Medicine specialists in Viral Outbreaks prevented an outbreak of MERS in the UK. Literally saving thousands. They won international recognition.

By 2020 we'd barely heard of tests, and apparently, track and trace is still not there? Eh?

12. We have track and tracers. Good people, probably as good as those from 2013. Maybe even the same.

They were told to stand down late Feb.

Moreover, probably the best hands dirty experience we have didn't make it to NERVTAG or SAGE - the advisory groups to the Gov.

13. Carehomes advice - abysmal, laughable. Until mid-March, it proclaimed no danger from and no need for PPE. The reaction today to Starmer pointing this out is complete misdirection. Yes, the advice did say "at the time" and at the time it was wrong - as WHO told us on Jan 19th.

14. We made up shielding guidelines. Until Sunday the advice was anyone over 70 should pay "particular attention" to social distancing. ie same as everyone.

This despite an exponential death rate for those over 50 and best practice from Aus and NZ saying it should be lower.

15. The strategy to exit lockdown was clear - SKorea worked it out for us, thank you. I wrote it all down a month ago. It's like the strategy we're now following, except we didn't prepare, don't have the test capability and can't track and trace. Why do we need to be so Mr Bean?

16. For months the Government manipulated statistics to show the UK in a positive light vis a vis other countries. They stopped the moment they could no longer cherry-pick.

But there's a standard way to do this called DT. It's always shown we were in trouble. Daily

17. Last the obscene retelling of history about our shotgun viral cannon otherwise called the lack of airport controls.

I'll stop here lest I go on all night. It's only roughly 20,000 bloody needless deaths they have on their complacent hands, and we're not done counting yet.

More than Government inaction has ever killed. More even than the 1980s blood poisonings.
