1) My investment style + Disclaimer

I am typically 100% in equities, and adopt a 35/65 split of growth and dividend paying companies respectively

The main aim of my portfolio is to acquire long positions in companies that i think will dominate markets for years to come.
2) My strategy focuses on fundamental analysis, in that i routinely sift through the company's financial statements to grasp the true value of the machine from an 'under the hood' point of view

The characteristics i look for will differ depending on the type of company
3) A few mantras i live by in terms of investing:

• In the short run the market is a voting machine, in the long run a weighing machine

• Time in the market > Timing the market

• Only a cynic knows the price of everything, and the value of nothing
4) • Hold onto your winners, so long as their earnings and fundamentals continue to please you

• Be prepared to cut losses early

- I learned this lesson heavily with a 85% loss in $EXL
5) Expect me to be Tweeting about my portfolio holdings fairly often

As i hold the companies, the majority of my tweets will be concerning those companies

+ I will report their earnings each quarter on my feed
6) Note for Followers:

I post my personal investing activities, my thoughts and my portfolio performance here

I can provide my opinion on stocks, but i do not advise on which stocks you should buy or sell

Everyone's circumstances are different
7) For anyone unfamiliar with fundamental analysis, i composed a 189 page Beginner's Guide that covers the bulk of the first steps

+ An automated spreadsheet and video to supplement the analysis of the contents within the guide https://gum.co/frbCI
8) I will, occasionally, make more short-term speculations, based on technical indicators and/or obscure situations but this is not typical behavior

I began my portfolio late 2017, with £1,500

In the FY 2019 my returns eclipsed the S&P by 13.24%

Portfolio Value is in my bio
9) My main two goals are to capture the capital gains from attractive growth companies, as well as accumulate a diversified collection of dividend paying stocks

As i am in my early 20's, cash flows are something i am looking to build for later life
10) Dividend Stocks:

Typically i am looking for fat juicy moats

- Branding, cost advantage, superior product, scalability, and so on

I prefer the company have beefy cash flows to cover debt sufficiently, and that the dividend is relatively safe

I value using various DDM's
11) Growth Stocks:

Typically i want:

- Some/mostly recurring revenues

- High YOY Revenue Growth

- Suitable margins

- Suitable reinvestment with retained earnings

- Strong + transparent management (for all stocks)

- Potential for market leadership
12) ETFs

I do routinely purchase ETF (Exchange Traded Funds) via my Vanguard ISA account mainly to:

Capture the returns of the markets i mainly invest in (US and UK)

Collect and compound dividends

Take advantage of the £20k per year tax-free gains
13) Selling:

I rarely have good reason to sell my holdings but typically i will if:

- Thesis is broken

- Management corrodes

- Revenue sharply flattens (growth companies)

- Better alternatives for cash

14) I am an avid lover of all things economics

I do routinely keep up-to-date with the macroeconomic trends but i rarely make investment decisions based solely on these factors

IMO the macro factors, more often, are backwards looking

However, context matters
15) I am a big believer in transparency, so every single move i make in my portfolio will be documented on my website:

• Trades

• Positions

• Dividends
