Before Dad died, he told me (probably in 1984 or 1985) "'the Beast' is a computer and the (sorry I forgot what term he used here) is million man army, China". He wanted me to remember. Said, "It will come in your lifetime, but not sure I will live to see it" đŸ˜„ I remember, Dad. https://twitter.com/sallyKP/status/1260606256630444032
If I re-read Revelations I can probably figure out what term I forgot (from previous tweet).
I remember it so clearly- he was sitting on the concrete step of the house (modular home in the country, just a cement step). Nothing around but corn across the road, and me. Sun was hot
I wish I remembered the whole conversation, but I only remember that one part. If I could talk to any person in the world, living or dead, it would be Dad. I would want to know what he thinks of all of this happening now.
Here's a story for you-
that's a common question...
"Living or dead, who would you want to talk to?" Husband had to answer this at a networking event.
He and I started dating shortly after Dad died, so he never met him. He chose my dad in answer to this question! đŸ˜„â€ïž Said, "I feel like I know him".
Imagine being such a person,
whose life leaves such a powerful legacy that future family members feel close to you, based on the memory you've left with others.
I want to be like my Dad. ❀
