I think what’s keeping people from subscribing to nng is the fact that the very idea of kpop is that to most people everything is supposed to be aww-worthy, if that makes sense? Like “aww he’s so cute” “aww he’s so sexy” “aww she’s so pretty” what nng brings to the table is not-
what people who are into kpop is looking for in terms of entertainment. nng offers very raw take on things, very raw outlook on life and music and just art in general. kpop is built on the foundation of offering imagination and as horrible as it sounds- delusions- to its audience
and that’s exactly what nng is NOT. the contents are very naked, very real and basically, just not what people seeking entertainment from kpop is looking for. it’s understandable really. not everyone wants to sit and be presented with very deep, very real ideas and thoughts when
they can be entertained in the literal sense. I hope chanyeol & mq continues to explore what they’re doing because it’s extremely raw and real and there are people who genuinely enjoy their content (probably not 3 million people) but I promise you some of us are here 💕
that plus the whole mq issue which I’m not going to say anything about because I don’t know him but I do know chanyeol (as much as I do as a mere, outsider fan) and if he trusts mq then I do too unless in whatever condition mq does something damaging
