Right now, Dr. Christine Hahn with @IDHW is live on Facebook answering some common questions about #COVID19
First question is about herd immunity. Why is it important?
Hahn says they hope at some point enough people will be immune that it won't spread as easily.
"while we hope one day that can be achieved through vaccination, in the meantime we know that some people are being exposed to this virus and might be immune now."
She says it's still not clear that having antibodies for this virus means your immune.
Next topic is about why people should wear masks.
"If I go to the grocery store and wear a cloth face covering what I'm doing is I may or may not be shedding the virus right now." It's about protecting others around us when we're in an area like a store or business where we're close to other people.
"It's most important than ever..." to keep up with social distancing, good hygiene, etc. as the state opens back up.
Hahn says they will be doing another Facebook live if people have more questions. In the meantime check out the @IDHW website and Rebound Idaho's website. I'll post the links below.
