To the Black men who were assaulted and abused as children by women who were way too old- I’m so sorry. I’m sorry that you grew up in a world that normalized that. You deserved more. Our boys deserve more right now. I want a world where Black boys can be children.

Being ‘excited’ doesn’t absolve the adult. Ever. I won’t call you a victim if that isn’t language you choose to use- but know it wasn’t ok. It’s never ok. It’s still not ok. And ima continue to fight for a world that shows up better for you and Black boys.
