I have a few questions about those doing online (or primarily online) courses at TAFE, college, uni, etc...but any inputs are welcome!
Thinking of doing a 4 semester online course, and just looking for a few suggestions or pointers

⬇️ THREAD ⬇️
First question: How is your workspace set out?
As in, are you just using a computer, or do you also use pen and paper for note-taking?
Do you remove distractions from the room, do you have a laptop that you can bring to other rooms for a change of scenery, etc?
(2/?)
Second question: How do you manage your time? Do you allocate certain hours / days to do certain tasks and set a definitive "deadline", do you like to switch between different tasks, or do you just do the tasks when you feel like it?
(3/?)
Third question: How often do you take breaks, and do you have set times for these?
Do you force yourself to work through tasks if you have a short attention span, or do you take breaks when you're losing interest?
(4/?)
Fourth question: How do you keep in touch with the other people who are doing the same course? Do you keep in touch at all?
Discord? Skype? Gitter? etc.
(5/?)
Fifth question: What do you listen to or do (if anything) to motivate yourself or focus more?
Podcasts? Lo-fi? Soundtracks? General music? Nature sounds?
Do you prefer to play the sounds through the speaker, or via earphones / headphones?
(6/?)
Sixth question: How do you motivate yourself to get ready for the day and study when you get up in the morning?
When do you usually go to sleep, and when do you usually wake up? Do you wake up with an alarm, or just whenever you happen to wake up?
(7/?)
Seventh question: When do you allocate time to do your hobbies? (playing games, watching YouTube, shows, movies, etc)
Is it more of a reward after you've completed a task?
Do you do them during breaks?
Or do you only do them when you know you're ahead in your studies?
(8/?)
Eighth question: What is your preferred way of studying for tests? Or just to better memorise something in general?
Quizlet? Explaining it to someone? Looking through notes and memorising? Worksheets / practicals?
(9/?)
Ninth question: What do you do to manage any stress, anxiety, or panic attacks caused by the course?
Does having a good webcam / microphone make you feel more confident when participating in virtual classrooms?
(10/?)
Tenth question: What equipment, and programs / applications do you use that you recommend?
(Laptops, tablets, stationery, peripherals (mice, keyboards, speakers, microphones, etc), chairs, books, study apps, habit tracking, reminders, etc)
(11/?)
I think that's all the questions I have for now. I will keep adding on to this thread if I have more though!
For those who do see this, it'd be much appreciated if you could share this around a bit, I would really like quite a few peoples' inputs on this 😊
Thank you ❤️
