Playing #ACNH last night was a trip. I thought watching @rookscar play was enough to prepare me, but I was wrong.

Got stung by wasps because, in a panic, I forgot the sprint button exists. That’s fine, live and learn.

So I get medicine from Tom Nook. After stepping out of Nook’s tent, I got out my net and captured a moth. Of course, I failed to see the scorpion that was apparently waiting for this moment of weakness.

Animation-locked, I watched helplessly as the scorpion ran up to give me a one-way ticket back to my tent.

As I get back to my feet, I see another scorpion waiting behind my tent.

Other people: “Animal Crossing is so relaxing, I love to chill on my island with all my friends.”
Me: *spends 10 minutes slowly searching my island hellscape, net held high at the ready, nervously searching behind every rock and tree* “I-is it safe to pick flowers again?”
