too add my personal opinion, i don't agree with this. when our son was born his nursery was woodland animal theme. now he currently likes horses and baby shark, so we let him put baby shark decals on his walls and put pictures of horses up. he says goodnight to them every night.

i can't imagine making my child have their room look a specific way because it makes me happy. i don't have to sleep/play in his room. if he wants white walls and white bedding, i'll support it. if he wants purple walls with orange bedding, i'll support it.
