If you want to actually learn, educate yourself, & begin your anti-racist journey, I recommend you follow these people (although it’s not their job to educate you; Google is free): @thearmchaircom, @sharifawrites, @andrehenry, @sista_theology, @_PassTheMic, @jelani9, @JemarTisby

Diversify and/or decolonize your bookshelf: Ta-Nehisi Coates, Toni Morrison, Maya Angelou, James Baldwin, Isabel Allende, Celeste Ng, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Jackie Hill Perry, Tayari Jones, Mychal Denzel Smith, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, Malala Yousafzai, & so many more.
I’ll keep adding resources, books, articles, etc. I’ve literally made it SO easy to start educating yourself. White folks, it’s on us to educate ourselves & fight for justice. You just have to DO the work. It’s a journey & you’ll never fully “reach” an end in your lifetime (1)
But, it’s worth it & necessary. Before you can “pass the mic”, advocate for others, be an anti-racist educator, teach your children, anything like that, you have to do the work within yourself. Like I said, my DMs are always open.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed & want to know where to *start* with educating yourself on justice issues & anti-racism, these books are a great stepping stone. (pic by Jane Mount from @idealbookshelf on insta)
Are you an ally, accomplice, or co-conspirator? I’m trying to move from ally to co-conspirator, but it takes WORK & EFFORT. Check out @MsPackyetti’s post on insta for more info.
