@Tesla energy has arrived! This is the solar team. Just had our briefing and all going as planned. 4 person solar team & estimate all solar will be installed by end of day today. Everyone here has 6+ years experience with Tesla solar installs. Battery team arriving soon @elonmusk
Battery team has arrived! 1 Red founders powerwall and 3 white units confirmed. Will need 2 days for the battery install and possible 5 to 8 hour power outage tomorrow to rewire all the breakers as whole house is being covered by the powerwalls.
Unpacking the solar panels. Sounds like the inverter hasn't arrived yet so solar team might split the job into 2 days. Waiting to see if inverter arrives.
Just chatted with the battery team on placement of the powerwalls on the clear garage wall. Going to put them further to the rear and leave some room towards the front of the garage.
Caution tape is being deployed all around our house including across the back door. A serious team of @Tesla energy employees are going full steam on this project. Side note, yes that is a cow lawn ornament my daughter wanted for Christmas this year. 😉
Roof drilling noises have begun!
I so want to be out there photographing and doing video but for safety reasons and due to the large team of people working need to stay out of the way. Will get photos when safe to do so for myself and the Tesla team.
Picture from my office window. Lots of drilling and hammering noises from the garage and roof.
Powerwall mounting brackets going on.
Panels have power optimizers on each to help with any shading or panel issues.
First powerwall is already on the wall 😁🤯
Second powerwall is up and third is just about on.
Electrician is busy prepping the new sub panel, this sub panel will power the entire house so it's not a small panel. 😊
And then there were 4! Far right one is not quite the same, will see how when work is all done. For now safely wrapped in protective film during install.
Conduit is not being prepared and installed from the powerwalls to the main sub panel and gateway. Will get photos soon.
Conduit is making its way up the wall. We chose to have the powerwalls installed on opposite wall from power panel as it was wide open hence the need for conduit up and over to the other side.
New panel, gateway etc going in.
Conduit work continues.
Solar team has the panels installed on the rear of the house, they will come back tomorrow to finish the front section. Estimate a couple hours to finish up tomorrow.
Better angle from ground level of the rear panels. They have to install the corner piece still that some of you will notice is missing in this shot.
Caution tape is being removed as roof work is done for the day. The solar panel team is splitting the job into two days as they need to come back to install the inverter so leaving some panels to do when it's cooler in the morning. 😊
The estimated annual production for our system is 18100 kWh.
The equipment required to be on the outside of the house. 2 shutoff switches and the extra meter required by SCE.
All that is left for panels to be installed on the front part of our roof tomorrow morning. 😎
