I then saw that Aneth Chapter was giving out water. I also saw one of the volunteers griping on FB abt their unappreciated service to the community. noting that able-bodied individuals should get their essentials themselves...
...Which rubbed me the wrong way bc I, able-bodied, am in need of a case of water. Literally a case of water. Why, you ask? Because I was fired amidst the pandemic. And I say “the night” because I don’t have electricity to run a refrigerator so I can preserve food, to keep me ~*safe at home*~. I HAVE to go to the store for perishables but I can’t always afford the gas to get there, let alone have enough for food.
Ughhh.. this lady really got under my skin. Like I get you want to “help” the community but you aren’t helping the community by excluding those who are unemployed rn.
