A short thread on sales: While the timing isn't ideal I find myself in the market for a new car and I have a deadline of June 3rd. Because of the crisis thing I do my research online and narrow the short list to 3.
I reach out to the three dealers that have the models I'm looking for. I explain my timing and my needs and what I info I need from them. All three respond reasonably fast. Want to grab a call and we chat. All fine.
One sends details and a potential path forward. One I have to chase for a few days and then sends VERY basic info. One disappears off the face of the earth. Even the good one doesn't follow up after the first email.
I've bought about a dozen cars in my life and have mostly experienced good service and followup. I assumed that it would be at least as good during rough times.
I have a need. I have the budget. I have a timeline with a compelling event. What am I missing?
Now I'm considering a plan B because it's too much work to buy a buy. Sales is alllllllllllll followup.
