1. The abuse this man is getting is awful. Why does an Egyptian man think it's in any way his right to say this bloke isn't Palestinian? Fuck you, you don't get to determine his ethnic identity nor rob him of it.

2. The rock throwing thing is ridiculous. Since the First Intifada countless thousands of rocks have been thrown every month.

There are few casualties and even fewer deaths. In the 40 years since the intifada, there have only been 15 attributable killings.

Due to the power disparity, most Pal. see rock throwing as a form of protest than violence, and typically aim at tanks or soldiers from far away. The few deaths are a result of murderers who wanted to kill ppl and, say, threw slabs from rooftops

Calling it terrorism is offensive

3. Also, nothing pisses me off more than these people combing through Palestinian twitter desperate for anything to support their ideology. Once they find it they immediately go "he's so brave" as if we're all mindless ghouls who kill anyone different.

We're not a hive mind.

These people routinely ignore EVERY Palestinian voice except the one that make sense to them ideologically.

This is the exact same as those anti-Zionists who seem to think that Satmar are the only true Jews because they hate Israel.

It's offensive.

4. Also, to those attacking this dude, you do realize it sounds like you're supporting Hamas?

He didn't say anything wrong. It's easy for you to sit around defending them but these monsters killed THOUSANDS of us in Gaza. They ethnically cleansed the local Christian population

5. Finally this thread feels p insensitive to me. We need to be realistic. There's a brutal occupation. We shouldn't pretend as if that doesn't exist.

Today a 15 year old kid was killed in the camps.

Wanting peace means pushing through despite the hate, not ignoring it.

But hey, this kid makes some good points on some things and he has a right to his opinion.

The only ones who should be ashamed are the pro-pal and pro-Israeli nuts who hijacked the thread for ideological reasons.
