[Police illegally raided Kenneth Walker's apartment b/c they had the wrong address, didn't announce themselves before breaking in, and summarily executed EMT Breonna Taylor while she was sleeping. Walker stood his ground and fired back, hitting one of the killer cops in the leg.] https://twitter.com/kyfop614/status/1243557106487361536
Bonus: the person LMPD was actually looking for *had already been arrested* before their illegal raid of the wrong apartment

https://www.wdrb.com/in-depth/attorneys-claim-lmpd-officers-killed-26-year-old-emt-in-botched-police-raid/article_4bb33de6-704e-11ea-bb3c-4785530c8830.html
Double Bonus: none of the officers involved in the illegal raid and murder wore bodycams, because LMPD doesn't want to risk facing the consequences of their officers' bad decisions

Too incompetent to raid the right address, but *juuust* competent enough to testify in court
So keep these sorts of things in mind when you see gibberish tweeted by @KYFOP614 and other police unions

Even when police use the wrong address, to find a person they already arrested, invade your home, and murder your gf, they'll still find a way to pretend it was your fault
All while they demand freedom to violate your rights without pesky things like bodycams to get in their way
Also, Miss Taylor was a black EMT – one who *volunteered at 2 hospitals* in addition to her regular work. So it's an appropriate time to remind y'all of the 5th Rule of @fsckemall:

Likely, yes

But since it was cops doing the killing, they'll be exalted as heroes "putting their lives on the line" by the local prosecutors, and protected with qualified immunity by the courts https://twitter.com/no_scooters/status/1260576078764093444
Because of course they did 🤣🤣🤣

Y'all think @KYFOP614 knows I can still talk about them and encourage others to do the same even when I'm blocked? 🤔
It was a 1am raid. It's only a clearly established violation when it's a 2am raid. https://twitter.com/rscholtz/status/1260578066713190401
Still shows up here via browser: https://twitter.com/kyfop614/status/1243557106487361536

They've likely just blocked everyone 😂

He can sue, but will almost certainly lose on qualified immunity grounds

This is the culture of police lawlessness that the US Supreme Court has created with its qualified immunity decisions

If there isn't a functionally identical case already decided somewhere – same type of raid, same time, same warrant, etc – it's not going to count as "clearly established"

Here my understanding from the news is the wrong address was put on the warrant

In that scenario – where the warrant info is wrong but not obviously defective on its face – the courts have held police are entitled to rely on the warrant because a "disinterested" magistrate issued it

Even when it was issued based on info the police provided
