Finally watching "Planet of the Humans". I was avoiding it cause I don't trust Michael Moore, a con man who deceptively edits like Chuck Todd on steroids...or cheeseburgers.
It seems like Michael Moore is angry at the green people because they've been co-opted by capitalists, meaning that money drives the movement rather than authoritarian government stormtroopers.
In 40 minutes and it's clear Michael, and Jeff Gibbs, are really angry at humans, all humans. They thought they found their messiah in the green people but alas it was not to be. You, you freakin' humans, are all evil and must be stopped, by any means necessary.
There it is, at about 45 min they introduce the new demon who is really an old demon, population growth. Humans are the evil destroying the planet. They are not, as some have suggested, destroying the green movement, they are simply replacing it with the anti-human movement.
If you thought the green people were crazed, you don't understand the antiHumans. Faced with their own mortality, these exGreens have turned to the last hope of securing a legacy...humans must be forced into extinction.
It is true that "Planet of the Humans" exposes the fraud that is the green movement, but it is clear at 60 min that the intent of this movie is to convert greens into antiHumans, a position that many of their leaders have whispered for decades. This is their manifesto.
Now at 70 min and Jeff Gibbs, speaking in hushed tones, a hallmark of the passive-aggressive antiHuman, despairs that the greens have been misguided and are "leading us all...off the cliff."
Jeff Gibbs summarizes the targets of the new antiHuman movement as "over-population, consumption, and the suicide of economic growth".
Gibbs is angry, slowing his speech, lowering his voice, he's been duped. Green energy is really black energy with a green facade. Who is at fault? Fake science? No. Faulty models? Nope. Rich people? Bingo!
I'm 3/4 done and it seems we have met the enemy and he is...the Sierra Club, and every business that Moore and Gibbs have been railing against since forever. The antiHumans want heads to roll...literally.
"Planet of the Humans" is an antiCapitalist expose of the fraud that is modern environmentalism. Yawn. We already knew all of this. Why didn't they expose the actual perpetrators of this fraud and the trillions of dollars that go into THEIR pockets?
Because the "scientists" who perpetrated this fraud are still useful in the eyes of Moore and Gibbs. The planet is still dying, even faster than before, and we knew that we needed to kill off the Capitalists, we just have to include the Green Capitalists too.
We're almost done, the music is sad, Gibbs is sullen, his voice is restrained. Whatever shall we do? Our heroes have betrayed us, even Al Gore is no longer to be trusted. Here is his call to action...
"We humans must accept that infinite growth on a finite planet is suicide. We must accept that our human presence is already far beyond sustainability. And all that that implies...."
"We must take control of OUR environmental movement and OUR future from billionaires and their permanent war on planet earth. They are not our friends. Less must be the new more and instead of climate change, we must at long last accept..."
"...that it's not the carbon dioxide molecule destroying the planet, it's us. It's not one thing, but everything that humans are doing. A human-caused apocalypse. If we get ourselves under control, all things are possible. And if we don't...."
Music turns ominous. Trees are being felled. Orangutans are anxious. The land is on fire. Orangutans are stuck in the mud. The end. Credits and a few follow-ups. The message is clear, "Kill all humans."

Except the good ones...like Moore & Gibbs.
