Catching up on Chicago restaurant scene... some restaurant/bars are becoming creative by selling To-Go kits to stay afloat. However they are coming with a hefty price tag 🤨
Like Fat Rice restaurant has changed to selling $99 meal kits to go. West Loop’s The Darling is selling date night meal kits at $65/person -2 person minimum.
I get it, restaurants need cash flo to survive. But is it really wise to sell $65/$99 to-go meal kits at a time when the economy is suffering? Read the room ppl.
Restaurants could do more business serving discounted lunch specials than to charge these ridiculous meal kit prices.
