Hey, Yes you. You want to buy a laptop and you really don't know much.... here I'll help you. Here are a few things to consider when you want to buy a laptop. I'll try to keep it short and in plain English.
Size: Having an idea of what size of laptop you want is very important. This also relates to the kind of user you are and your personality. Size is determined by the screen size 15.6" 14" 13" 12" 11"
If you are someone who likes portability, light weights and move around much, then the 14" and 12" is for you. Mind you the 12" cannot support some high resolution and highend graphics Intel design. So if you love graphics, Gaming, little movement You go for 15"
CPU: This is usually AMD or Intel. Intel comes in core i3, i5, i7, i9. All depends on the kind of user you are. For the basic typing notebook entry, a Core i3 will serve you best and save you money.
Core i5 is the Mainstream processor because it's flexible & can take many tasks. It's best when you see a future where you have a career change or side hustle that will need a higher processing power. i7 is best for power and highend users in graphics and more. AMD is for gaming
Ram: Before now a normal 4GB ram was fine but today an 8GB Ram is the starting point. If you are power user 12GB to 16GB is what you need. And if you are into gaming, a Ram of up to 32GB will be best for your beautiful Gaming experience
Storage: HDD or SSD at least a 500GB HDD or a 256SSD depending on how much data you work with

Battery life: A brand new Laptop 7h+, if you plan to spend time alot outside power source, you'll need a Laptop with good battery life. For UK used, you'll look at 3hr to 4hrs
Design: This is where the beauty of your budget comes in. Your taste as a person, the aesthetic luxury. The more beautiful the design the more budget you have to come up with . If you are someone that likes sexy, classy, bougie and sassy then your budget also must be up
Brand: HP, Dell, Asus, lenovo, Mac book, Acer. All depends on your choice. Personally I go with history and if I have used HP laptop before and it served me well and I was comfortable with it. Next time, I'll most likely go for another HP laptop.
The processor is the same Core i3, i5, i7. These brands don't make the processors, the processors are made by Intel, AMD or Nvidia. These brands buy the processors and install in their products. Hence, HP intel, HP AMD, Mac book Intel.
Budget. Pounds and Dollars... This is very important, you must know what you want. You must know the spec before you get your budget. Getting money first and checking your spec won't help you because the spec you want may be higher than your budget.
Mind you, if your budget is not up to your spec, you have to settle for something less, else you have to go back, put in small calls and work up the money for what you really want so you'll be satisfied.
