S.E. Cupp used the phrase "science discreditors" and I LOLed. Seriously, continuously bleating I BELIEVE IN SCIENCE is a statement empty of any and all meaning.
Science is by its very nature falsifiable. If two people espouse different opinions based on a set of facts and you BELIEVE in one and discount the other, you aren't doing science. Second opinions are a real things.
Some who understands, rather than believes in science:

1) Here is my opinion, or what I believe
2) ::facts appear that contradict said opinion::
3) Hmm. I must revise my opinion as reality is completely at odds with it
Someone who BELIEVES in science:

1) Here is my opinion, or what I believe
2) ::facts appear that contradict said opinion, or differing opinion is expressed::
3) OMG YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN SCIENCE/YOU DISCREDIT SCIENCE
I'm not even going to RT or reply directly to that stupidity and dishonesty. In her case, I believe it's the latter because she doesn't appear to have a sub-normal IQ, but rather is playing a part for her ones of sycophantic followers.
I mean, I don't care in general. Be stupid and dishonest if you want to. But bleating idiotic terms such as science denier or science discreditor are a sure way to raise my ire because your approach only discredits actual science and scientists.
I look forward to the day when actual scientists are viewed as snake oil salesmen and politicians are viewed as dispassionate observers of reality.

::looks at the world right now::

Oh. Crikey. We're already here. ::head desk::
