37 reasons, things both AWE-INSPIRING and tinie, why Yoo Kihyun deserves to be cherished: a thread.

1. There's lots to say; let's get the obvious things out of the way first.

Yoo Kihyun's voice. This man can rock any genre with his vocals that are both powerhouse AND emotionally evocative. Everyone knows it.

We have to start from zero with "Hyeya."

2. Watching Yoo Kihyun sing is just as enjoyable as hearing him sing. Whenever I watch his cover of "Believer," I forget to listen to his voice because the passion with which he sings is absolutely mesmerizing. You can see it on his face and in his body.

3. Yoo Kihyun's dancing is mesmerizing, too, and underrated. I'm forever talking about his performance in "Never Die" in the 2019 MAMAs; he's grown so much in his confidence as a dancer. And his dancing in "Shoot Out" and Oh My"?

Oh, my.

4. Kihyun's musical talents don't end with his voice; he's also an incredible pianist. He also knows how to play the guitar. It's so clear that he's constantly trying to grow his musical ear and capabilities.

5. This brings me to my next point: Kihyun is passionately, matchlessly dedicated to his craft. Whatever he does, he does 100%. There are no half-hearted efforts with Yoo Kihyun.

6. And we've watched Kihyun grow so much in his confidence in said skills. I'll never forget his words during the Seoul "We Are Here" ments, when he openly wept and described how Monbebe have given him strength. He talked about how he used to record and re-record covers but +

+ ended up posting them because he didn't think they were good enough...and now, thanks to Monbebe and his brothers, he recognizes that he has talent, and he WANTS to share that talent with the world.

7. Along the same lines, let's discuss Mr. Yoo's confidence. He wears what he wants to wear and says what he wants to say without apology. One of the things he says without apology is "I'm the Young Flexer, come on." But that is neither here nor there.

8. Even though Kihyun is confident, he is humble. He never forgets a bow or a handshake (depending on where he is geographically) and openly defers to Shownu's leadership. And his many friendships with other stars show that he sees them as humans, not as competition to stamp out.
