Yes, for clarity pay scale and gap is obviously more important than actual numbers - but let's all not pretend we don't know the current economic standard. If I made 6 figures while front-line made below a living wage I could not in good conscience take that money.

That is the reality that so many in museums deal with. The current numbers that make up the pay range in museums means six figures is stealing from your low-est paid employees. We can always work towards our work being valued higher, but we need to work at it being equitable 1st
