Wearing face coverings in most non medical situations isn’t to protect healthy wearers from #COVID19 -it’s to keep people w/ virus from spreading it to others.

If you must go out in public for any reason, please wear a face covering. And remember, wearing a cloth face covering should supplement - not replace - social distancing.

One more important point about #COVID19 and face coverings- data suggests many people who have #coronavirus are asymptomatic (i.e. have no fever, cough or other symptoms).

Since we can’t know for sure if we are shedding virus or not, a face covering can protect those around us.
