Here& #39;s a thread about how three Korean government organizations worked to get me an apology from JTBC over the filming of Itaewon Class. https://twitter.com/adealornodeal/status/1224323585356861443">https://twitter.com/adealorno...
One day in February I was on my way home when I saw a beautiful sunset. I got off the bus to take a picture.
There were two guys on the sidewalk who asked me to not take pictures because they were filming something below.
I told them I didn& #39;t care and went to file a complaint since I was pissed off about people standing on public property telling me I couldn& #39;t take a picture of the sky (with a silhouette of some stupid bar in it).
That was the first time I& #39;d heard of the drama Itaewon Class and thought it was some minor thing, since who would ever make a drama about some neighbourhood of dangerous foreigners, many of whom aren& #39;t even white?
This happened literally across the street from the Itaewon2-dong Community Centre, so I thought I& #39;d complain to them about these annoying stooges.
That& #39;s where the fun began.
I filed an online complaint (민원) with the Yongsan-gu office.
Yongsan-gu transferred it to the Korea Communications Commission, a government agency funded by VPN providers to block pornography.
