honestly why are people hating on this so much? it's a really interesting concept, made to look like a retro magazine which is a cool idea since the teaser pics look like magazine editorials.

also i understand that minimalism isn't everybody's taste but minimalism ≠ low effort

minimalism as a concept is meant to compliment and not be the main focus of a design. in all the teaser pics we got so far the styling has been very simple allowing the focus on be him, his face & expression. minimal design is a perfect fit to accentuate his powerful visuals

the design is simple and doesn't overcrowd or look messy.

also minimalism is VERY in rn so it's a smart move for baekhyun to be once again leading a trend instead of following it. he is always taking risks & anticipating trends, which makes him ahead of his time.

not to mention the color scheme is incredible?!? the color combination is very original and fresh, not to mention very fitting for the whole retro aesthetic and vibes he's going for. again maybe it's not everybody's taste and that's ok, but it's good work on their part.

and about the so very controversial font. again i get why people might find it ugly or not like it...but open sans fonts are ALL the rage right now. the font they are using is a reto-ed version of that and again it fits the overall aesthetic well.

at the end of the day aesthetics are up to personal taste and very subjective. everybody can have their opinion which is valid and of course we're not required to love everything our favorite puts out. my point is just that we should respect the work being put into this album.

i am not an expert on graphic design but i asked around a lot of people who have experience or work as graphic designers and all their comments have been positive so far. so of course it's ok to not like something, but please appreciate the work being put into it.

i know we love to complain about sm and we really havea million reasons to do so, but i don't think this is one of them. anyway...that's all. sorry for the long post
