You know how Nigerians endure bad government and keep adapting? That’s how we endure bad customer service too.

Some Nigerian vendors are not scared to run out of business because of poor customer service.

ESP if they have a good product or have a lot of hype.

🧵
A major issue is communication.

It goes such a long way.

But you as a customer will order something and still be calling for follow up.

Do you not know you’re to tell the customer the order is ready, the order has been dispatched, the order is close....
You’ll order something and be left hanging for two hours with no updates.

How is this normal??

And then they’re rude to you or fuss when you call to ask how far...

“We have already given to the dispatcher”
No! My business is with you and not the rider. It’s your job to keep updating me till the person arrives.

This things that seem little are so important. It helps you retain customers!

You’re in the business of people and when people are happy, your business thrives.
Once your customer service is top notch, honestly you wouldn’t even be struggling to get customers.

The people will take it upon themselves to be your evangelists!

They will spread the word

They won’t shut up about how good you were to them.

Businesses, appeal to people!!
And you people will experience bad customer service and say “at least the food is sweet”

“At least I wasn’t scammed”

I’m guilty of this too 😩

Let’s stop 😩

We have created an environment that enables this rubbish 😭
