Globally the Centrist-Middle-Of-The-Line public was always so well accommodated within the Liberal camp. Used to be the natural and normal phenomenon just a few years back. Something has strangely changed changed that dynamics turning it upside down the world over.
This all started when the policies of Globalization started getting local resistance due to extremely local reasons, particularly in Europe, giving rise to far-right leaders. They were ridiculed by liberals for obvious reasons. But somehow the economic issues remained relevant.
Odd thing to notice: the issues were purely economics related, but looked mutated with racist, anti-migrant campaigns of the far-right leaders. The more noise these far-right made, the more ridicule they attracted from the liberal camp. That came natural in political friction.
But the liberal camp went ahead with blanket campaign against far right without realising some of the core issues mattered even to the Centrist-Middle-Of-The-Road masses, even though they were not really racist or far-right. But the blanket campaign continued full steam..
By the time the Liberals realised, their campaign had pushed the centrist masses not to the far-right, but certainly to the right of center. The damage was done, but surprisingly the liberal political establishment, rather than going for damage control, went full monty.
They started labeling these centrist as far-right, without realising they were actually travelling far left themselves. The centrist mass was actually status quo. They remained where they were. The left of center actually tilted far left, making the center look far right.
This happened in such weird way that country after country, system after system started looking, in not turning, right of center. The fact was that the centrist never turned right. The liberals turned left thus making the rest of the world start sounding right. Strange, but true.
And now, just analyse the Global political equations. Just pick up any country and see how the centrist is continued to be treated as far right and ridiculed consistently for their voting decisions and mandates. The more they ridicule, the more the alienation of the centrist.
Just pick up any democratic system of your choice: UK, USA, Europe or even Asia for that matter. You will find similar trend. Oddly enough, the right was supposed to be in favour of Open Economy to start with. All these terms and definitions are so damn messed up. Royally messed.
