Our first year of #GreenImpact is complete! We have created a virtual award ceremony to recognise the incredible achievements of the staff, patients and volunteers involved @NottsHealthcare @sosukcharity Watch now:
Thanks to @Paul_BIMLtd and @SimonCrowther5 for their support putting this together! All day we'll be showcasing some of the winners to celebrate their sustainability achievements as part of the project. #GreenImpact #SustainableHealthcare
First up we have @NottsHcEandF who achieved GOLDđŸ„‡The team completed actions on all 10 sustainability themes, including diverting nearing 4000kgs of waste to be re-used with @WarpIt_. Well done!
Next up is @TheLiveTeam_ who also received the GOLD đŸ„‡. They also won the community action special award following their brilliant Go Green Week, a week of sustainability activities to inform and engage patients at Highbury Hospital. What an amazing idea!
Our final GOLD đŸ„‡ winner was the Millbrook MHU team. They worked as a whole site to complete actions and even started a project developing greenspace for staff and patient wellbeing and biodiversity! @HeathcoteHelen @AmberWardNotts @Kingsley_ward @LucyWadeUnit @OrchidWard
. @BrackenHouse1 achieved the bronze award for #GreenImpact and won the Environmental Innovation 🏅 special award for their work to reduce their use of #SingleUsePlastic cups and find a safe re-usable alternative for their patient group. What a brilliant idea!
The Environmental Improvement Special award went to @InvolveNottsHC for their amazing work to go paperless. The Rosewood team achieved silver. Plus, @NottsHealthcare volunteer Gordon (aka Gordon the Gardener) was this years Environmental Hero!
Coming in with silver were @QI_NottsHC. They set up a compost bin in their office to reduce waste and took the compost to their own gardens!đŸŒČ A total 67 staff members reported completing the #GreenImpact action to take part in the bronze QI Training!
The @DigitalNottsHC received Silver đŸ„ˆ! The team's whole ethos has a #GreenImpact reducing paper use and enabling distance working. Great work team!
Finishing the teams receiving silver are Chatsworth Ward and Children's Therapy. Both teams stood out for their commitment to engaging patients in our Green Impact scheme, bringing even more sustainability benefits. Well done!
Achieving Bronze for #GreenImpact are @DataScienceNott and @InstituteMH. Both teams really helped launch the @TerraCycleUK crisp packet recycling scheme at @NottsHealthcare recycling thousands of packets between them. Great work!
Several @CamhsNotts teams were involved with #GreenImpact, the Community CAMHS West team reach Bronze! Amongst their work was a no single use lunch which staff took part in to socialise and reduce the waste associated with food! Congratulations!
Next up are @NottsHClib. They have done lots of great work to achieve the bronze award. One great idea they had was to create a rota to check, identify and report any leaky toilets or dripping taps, such a simple way to save water! Brilliant stuff!
. @Worksopnurses successfully achieved Bronze for their first year of #GreenImpact. As part of their scheme, they added Green Impact as an agenda item to handover so any ideas could be shared with the whole team. Great work!
