Thread: The China Threat
How does a world super power like China plan on defeating the United States?
With war? Nope. There's no need to go to war when you have a means that's much more peaceful and predictable:
Greed.

Just this month, a University of Arkansas Professor was arrested on wire fraud charges. Simon Ang was arrested on May 8, 2020.
Ang lied about his ties to the Chinese Government when applying for financial grants from NASA. Does this type of operation sound familiar?
That's because a Harvard Chemist was arrested in January after lying about his ties to China as well.

Harvard Chemist Charles Lieber was arrested January 28, 2020 after lying about his participation in the "Thousand Talents Program", an initiative by the Chinese government to recruit high level scientific talent to come to China.
Lieber was paid $50,000 per month salary, $158k in expenses, & $1.5 million to develop the Wuhan Institute of Technology research lab. Additionally, the FBI charged Chinese National Yanqing Ye and arrested Zaosong Zheng in connection with this endeavor. https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/harvard-university-professor-and-two-chinese-nationals-charged-three-separate-china-related
The Chinese Ministry of State Security has a very specific objective when it comes to attacking western super powers.
In fact, 60 Minutes Australia covered this in depth on an episode that aired in November of 2019. This specific episode revolved around a Chinese spy named Wang Liqiang who defected to Australia.
In his interview with 60 Minutes Australia, Liqiang discussed 3 steps that he, and other spies, would take to influence cultural change in order to overpower enemies.
See if any of these sound familiar...

Step 1 - Infiltrate Universities and convert students & faculty from democratic ideologies to communist ideologies.
This involved using emotional influence and leverage.

Step 1 (cont) He would approach student associations, collect info on fellow students who had opposing views, and then attack them by threatening to expose private data in order to silence them. Essentially, blackmail.
Step 1 (cont) Liqiang and his associates would also recruit gullible, idealistic students with propaganda. Liqiang admitted that most of these students had no idea they were being manipulated.
Step 2 - Infiltrate the media from inside their own networks.
They would use money and blackmail in order to gain access. If they controlled the information and messaging, they could control public opinion.

Step 3 - This is the big one... Infiltrate politics by influencing loyalists to get elected... OR... Paying people to run for office and funneling (laundering) money into their campaigns.
Liqiang stated that he used these tactics in Hong Kong to create riot resistance.

Beijing supported Han Kuo Yu in 2019 because he was sympathetic to China.

All of these actions shifted public opinion to a more favorable stance towards China and, even tho Han initially had zero chance of winning, he rose and seized the nomination and was narrowly defeated by the incumbent.

In Australia, a business man named Nick Zhad was recruited by the Ministry to run for Parliament. Nick was 32 years old and approached Australian Intelligence, claiming that Chinese spies had paid him $1 million to run for an open seat. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/28/world/australia/china-spying-wang-liqiang-nick-zhao.html
Nick joined the Australian Liberal Party in 2015. He was approached by a spy named Brian Chen. Brian Chen offered to pay Nick to get elected in order to exert influence over Australian politics.
Nick got spooked and approached Austalian Intelligence at that point.

Shortly thereafter, Nick was found dead in his apartment. The cause of death was listed as a drug overdose.
Since Liqiang has come forward, we have seen cases develop here in the United States involving University Professors who are Chinese loyalists. If you think this isn't connected, you need to open your eyes.
I have no doubt that Liqiang and Aus Intelligence are assisting the US.

Realistically, what did it take for the Chinese to accomplish their goals?
Money in the media & politics and gullible students.

It's only a matter of time before we start connecting the dots between the Chinese Spies and American media.
Or better yet... Chinese Spies and American Politicans.
