The leading cause of male violence is in actual fact, men.

Any other excuse, reason or attempt to frame the victim is victim blaming.

It’s 2020 - and men are still immune from being held responsible for global, systemic male violence.
Globally, men commit 97-99% of all violent crimes (murder, rape, trafficking, assaults, child sexual abuse, exploitation)

But we still have this real discomfort around naming the problem

When feminists say it, they are accused of hating ‘all men’

Why ignore this solid trend?
Many will say ‘but men are also victims!’

You’re right. They are. They are actually much more likely to be victims of murder and assaults than women

But the perps are still 97-99% male.

You can’t keep running from this.

Society has to look at it critically and openly.
Some will say ‘but men do it because they’ve had hard childhoods, were abused themselves, are under pressure’

And to that I say;

So were women. So are women.

But women still don’t commit even a fraction of the violent crime that men do.

So explain that.
Others say ‘but women commit these crimes too!’

You’re right, they do. Just at nowhere NEAR the prevalence of men. Feminists don’t pretend women are innocent or are not capable of crime (because that would be misogyny too) - but we know women are not the majority perps. Ever.
Whilst we have important discussions around my book, and around the victim blaming of women and girls - we must mentally make the shift towards placing full responsibility on men for their own violence.

You cannot end victim blaming by continuing to excuse male violence.
