On NG Twitter space, I keep seeing wrong physical activity(PA) guidelines been dished out. The WHO PA guidelines are not based on number of steps taken per day. In fact, these guidelines are age specific and must be individualised.
For adults aged 18-64, it is recommended they do 150 min or 75 min of moderate to vigorous PA respectively in a week. Also, they must do strength based activities at least 2ce a week. Most importantly they must reduce sedentary time e.g Time spent watching TV.
To break sitting time, it's advisable an individual stands up and take a walk for every 30min of sitting. Please let's be guided.
