Yesterday I went to browse in a bookstore. I piled up some books I was interested in, sat down, read the first paras or pages of them all, then decided to buy 4 of them. It was so delightful I could have wept.
As a bonus, this was Shakespeare & Co, which, with perhaps great unoriginality for an American in Paris, is special to me. It's simply an excellent bookstore.

No admittance without a mask. Everyone must sanitize their hands upon entrance. Not crowded due to no tourists at all.
After walking down there from the 10th I didn't have much energy left over the grand stroll I'd been fantasizing about, but I also bought tea at Mariage FrĂšres and walked a bit along the river.
