I am genuinely such a huge fan of Scooby-Doo. Over the years, I've consumed a lot of of Scooby-Doo media, and boy, do I have thoughts. In anticipation of the release of Scoob this week, I'm putting on my Scooby-Doo critic hat, to make a list ranking every Scooby-Doo movie ever.
43. Scooby-Doo in Arabian Nights

This is the lowest on the list for one main reason: It's not a Scooby movie. The majority of the runtime is spent following two boring tales about Yogi Bear and Magilla Gorilla. Also, it looks so bad. What was the budget on this movie? $15?
42: Scooby-Doo! and WWE: Curse of the Speed Demon

I'm not joking when I say that this movie exists. In fairness, Scooby-Doo does have a prescendent of weird celebrity cameos in The New Scooby-Doo Movies (and its currently-running series, actually), but why WWE? Who could say.
41. Scooby-Doo! WrestleMania Mystery

Again, I'm at a loss to explain this one. Somewhere, some studio executive decided that it would be a good idea to have John Cena and the WWE do a movie with Scooby-Doo. I genuinely hate that this exists.
40. Lego Scooby-Doo! Haunted Hollywood

I question the decision to make this movie a Lego movie. Why not just make this movie this movie animated normally, without making them Legos? It seems like we've got a mystery on our hands.
39. Scooby-Doo! Blowout Beach Bash

These Lego movies were made the same year that they released a bunch of new Scooby-Doo Lego sets. Jinkies! It looks like we've got this mystery all wrapped up. They would've gotten away with it, too, if it wasn't for this meddling kid.
38. Scooby Goes Hollywood

This one is so low for similar reasons as Arabian Nights; it's not really a Scooby movie. It's a weird, meta analysis of the franchise that really doesn't work. Also, again, it looks awful. Can you believe this was made for TV?
37. Scooby-Doo! Adventures: The Mystery Map

This one gets points for uh, creativity? Why does this exist? Why are they all puppets? However, they do get points for being in their A Pup Named Scooby-Doo outfits. That's a nice throw-back.
36. Scooby-Doo! & Batman: The Brave and the Bold

Back in 1972, in an episode of The New Scooby-Doo Movies called "The Dyanmic Scooby-Doo Affair," Scoob and the gang helped Batman and Robin defeat the Joker and uncover a strange mystery. It's very charming.

This is not that.
35. Scooby-Doo! Mask of the Blue Falcon

I've never really been a huge fan of the Blue Falcon and Dynomutt, but they seem to crossover with Mystery Inc. frequently. (Even the new Scoob movie that comes out this week!) This movie is okay, but not special. Hopefully Scoob is better
34. Scooby-Doo! Moon Monster Madness

For some reason, the gang finds themselves on the moon, having to fight what are basically the Xenomorphs from the Alien franchise. Weirder things have happened, but still.
33. Scooby-Doo! and the Gourmet Ghost

What kid wants to watch Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis interrupt their Scooby-Doo movie? No shade to Bobby and Giada, but was there even a single person asking for this movie?
32. Daphne & Velma

I wanted to like this movie. Daphne and Velma are my favorite characters in the franchise, but this was not a good look for them. Why is it set in a weird futuristic tech school? Why do the two leads have zero chemistry? Why did Ashley Tisdale produce this?
31. Scooby-Doo! Music of the Vampire

Scooby-Doo had to do a musical at some point, right? Right? This one gets bonus points because it has a character named Bram, which is *almost* my name.
30. Scooby-Doo! Legend of the Phantosaur

My beef with this movie isn't really the fault of this movie. When I was a kid, I would see "SD! Legend of the..." and assume it was the superior movie, SD! Legend of the Vampire. I was disappointed every time.
29. Scooby-Doo! Shaggy's Showdown

The gang goes to to meet Shaggy's relative, who turns out to be a spooky ghost with a goatee. Isn't that Sρσσƙყ? This movie is a really good one for Shaggy. I'm proud of him.
28. Scooby-Doo! and Kiss: Rock and Roll Mystery

The band Kiss actually has a prescendent of acting as magical guardians in cartoons. They did the same thing in The Fairly Odd Parents. This movie is better because they have a Sailor Moon-style magical girl transformation.
27. Big Top Scooby-Doo!

This is a better circus movie than both The Greatest Showman and Dumbo. The werewolf monsters are really spooky, and Daphne dresses up as a clown.
26. Scooby-Doo! Frankencreepy

This movie is only so high because the Ghost of the Baron looks just like Old Iron Face. Its treatment of Daphne is Really Bad. Velma as a kooky mad scientist is absolutely fantastic.
25. Scooby-Doo! Return to Zombie Island

This movie is a sequel to Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island. This movie isn't nearly as good as that one is, but it has a lot of fun callbacks to that movie. This loses points because I could've been watching that movie instead
24. Scooby-Doo! and the Curse of the 13th Ghost

This movie serves to wrap up the loose threads that were left by the series The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo. This movie is great because it brings back Daphne's awesome jumpsuit. And, this one doesn't have Scrappy-Doo, so instant bonus
23. Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster

I really like this cast. I think they all embody the characters really well. (Yes, that's Hayley Kiyoko.) Velma weirdly gets posessed by this old witch, it's a whole thing, but overall, this movie is fun.
22. Scooby-Doo! Stage Fright

This movie is American Idol meets Phantom of the Opera meets Scream. It really shouldn't work, but it really does. Also, the opening credits are a highly stylized montage, and it's every bit as awesome as the song that plays over it.
21. Scooby-Doo! Camp Scare

I only really like this one because of how scary the Woodsman was. He was a seriously great monster. But the gang working as couselors at a summer camp is also a lot of fun.
20. Scooby-Doo! and the Goblin King

This movie is really out of left field. This movie sends Shaggy and Scooby on a magical adventure to rescue an actual fairy from the Goblin King. It doesn't make any sense. But it's pretty fun.
19. Scooby-Doo! and the Reluctant Werewolf

This is one of the Red Shirt Shaggy movies, which are very weird. This one is a fun, Mario Kart-style go-kart race where Dracula needs a werewolf for his monster race, so he chooses Shaggy. This is fun, but it loses points for Scrappy.
18. Chill Out, Scooby-Doo!

This is my least favorite of the What's New, Scooby-Doo? era of movies. That said, I do love this era as a whole, so this one is still really fun. I love the gang's snow outfits.
17. Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers

In this Red Shirt Shaggy movie, he inherits a haunted estate, so he hires some ghost exterminators who turn out to be actual ghosts (they're basically Casper the Friendly Ghost's uncles, let's be real here). I love this movie. It's so weird.
16. Scooby-Doo! and the Samurai Sword

Ninjas? Multiple magic swords? A guy disguised as the Black Samurai with the goal of bringing back the spirit of the REAL Black Samurai? An actual dragon? Sign me up.
15. Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School

This is my favorite of the Red Shirt Shaggy movies. For some reason, Shaggy, Scooby, and Scrappy end up teaching at a school for the daughters of famous monsters. It's kind of a proto-Monster High but it really works. Also, Revolta is creepy.
14. Scooby-Doo! Abracadabra-Doo!

The gang visits Velma's little sister Madelyn at Whirlen Merlin's Academy of Magic. Madelyn and Shaggy have a romantic arc, and it's really cute to see Shaggy face his fears for her. Also, the opening credits are SO GOOD
13. Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins

Again, I really like this cast! This movie has a solid story, and it's a really fun origin story for the gang. It's really heartwarming to watch them go from strangers to best friends, all while solving a really thrilling mystery.
12. Scooby-Doo

This movie is so iconic. Casting Sarah Michelle Gellar as Daphne was an incredible move, and having Daphne go full-on Buffy the Vampire Slayer was even better. Fun fact: I met Freddie Prinze Jr. last year, and it was the only time I've ever been truly starstruck.
11. Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders

Shaggy's musical number "How Groovy" is much better than it needed to be. It's so cute. His falling in love with a girl straight out of 1969, only to have her turn out to be the real alien, is such an ironic but sad plot twist.
10. Aloha, Scooby-Doo!

The gang lands in Hawaii, only to find out a spirit called the Wiki-Tiki is haunting a surfing competition. Naturally, they step in to solve the case. For once, the shady real estate developer isn't actually the person behind the mask.
9. Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed

I'm a huge fan of the classic Scooby-Doo monsters, and it's so fun to see so many cameos in this movie. The 10,000 Volt Ghost, the Black Knight, the Miner 49er, Captain Cutler, and more! This movie is a Scooby fan's dream
8. Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island

I think my most controversial ranking on this list will not having this movie be higher. In all truthfullnes, I love this movie. But I *love* the other movies beyond this even more. This movie is genuinely creepy, and I admire that about it.
