I’m ranking all the state flags starting with the worst. Ohio is #50, because it’s visually busy and none of the design elements compliment each other

49. Mississippi since it’s racist

48. Minnesota worst seal design

47. Maine, the people on this flag look 40s comics characters that weren’t colored properly

46. West Virginia another strange and bad seal

45. Wisconsin is just plain ugly. State name plus the founding year is a killer combo

44. North Dakota for its awkward & poorly drawn eagle

43. Montana, Yellow text, bad seal

42. Idaho’s deal doesn’t have a bad art style, but too much is going on in such a small space

41. Connecticut, one of the more minimalistic seals, but it’s unfocused

40. Washington state’s green is a bold choice, but the overall effect is abrasive

39. Michigan another boring seal, but the deer give it a nice symmetry

38. New Hampshire the boat is nice, but too many rings

37. Kansas, area inside the seal looks okay, but the yellow text holds this back

36. Pennsylvania the horses look good

35. Utah the eagle and hive are striking and distinctively Utahn

34. Virginia a nice and simple seal

33. Kentucky just two guys having a good time

32. Missouri the fact this is a tricolor puts it above the other seal flags

31. Vermont this almost looks like a professional artist was involved

30. Nevada they had something going here, but seal should either be centered or smaller

29. Nebraska stands out from the other seal flags for its simplified color scheme

28. South Dakota managed to pick colors that go together

27. New Jersey, there’s a lot going on, but it’s clean and makes sense when put together

26. North Carolina, the Poorman’s Texas flag

25. Georgia, direct reference to the flag of the confederate government

24. Delaware, a cute wholesome seal flag

23. Oregon has a cute beaver on the other side

22. Iowa, they just put their seal on the French flag and changed the ratio of the colors

21. Arkansas, sure there’s text, but it’s centered and the focal point, so big ups compared to most of these text flags

20. Florida put a big red x over it’s seal

19. Massachusetts a good minimalistic seal, white is a good choice

18. Alabama just ripped off the old Spanish flag, respect the grift

17. New York, excelsior

16. Illinois, I have a soft spot for the white flags
