In January, I said I wanted to get into live streaming. So, what happened? A thread

Not everything works as well for me.
Editing the podcast isn& #39;t such a great activity, as I have to listen to parts of the episode over and over again. This limits my ability to talk and felt a bit boring for the people watching.

Doing admin work like updating the website, creating some graphics works better.

Personally, I found live redesigning my website and live coding works the best.
And, the most amazing experience was when @ryanwarnercodes gave me an on-demand intro using @Figma on Twitch

I also joined the @partycorgipod community, and I& #39;m in love. I can totally recommend it for all creators & people wanting to get into streaming.
Because of this community, I have at least 1-2 people on my stream that hang-out and spend time with me. This makes all the difference

For now, I haven& #39;t publicly announced when I& #39;m online, because I wanted to feel more secure and comfortable before having too many people tuning in.
I plan to share when I& #39;m online with my Twitter fam soon. But not sure yet, when I& #39;ll feel comfortable enough

Why I& #39;m not announcing publicly has also to do with the fact that I have 0 preparation when going online.

So, instead of thinking what I& #39;m gonna do, I just do whatever needs to be done on that day. One day, this works well on the stream, one day worse.

Having multiple people watch me figuring this out, feels weird.
But in general, my streams evolve around me figuring out stuff. Like JavaScript

So I guess at the end of the day, this is something I have to get used to.

For my setup, I& #39;m using @streamlabs OBS with a few overlays. I have a Logitech C920 + BlueYeti mic.
What I& #39;d like to improve is having the chat as part of my overlay. But, I never find the time.
So, this might be one thing I& #39;ll figure out in one of my upcoming live streams.
