I'm doing a #SheRa binge thread of seasons 1-4 and tweeting my favorite production memories from each episode

(obviously, spoilers for seasons 1-4)

A bit about me: I was script coordinator (aka writers' assistant) for all 52 episodes, and wrote 2 of them. The character I am most like on the outside is Mermista (cooler than thou), but on the inside it's Scorpia (too tactile and I cry at everything)

Netflix chose a still from one of my episodes! But uh... I also feel called out bc I love these three dirtbags and the algorithm must know...

S1E1: I really love seeing Catra be cute and playful! I'm also LOLing remembering this was the first episode I did scratch dialog for Shadow Weaver (I have a really low voice, so I did most of the scratch for her during animatic phase).

Terms! Scratch is when we change a line of dialog before the actor can come in again to replace it. So crew will record temporary dialog. As script coordinator, it was my job to track these dialog changes.

I have seen the first transformation and appearance of She-Ra countless times and it ALWAYS gives me chills.

S1E2: Goddamit, I love Glimmer. I love when she whispers, "For the Honor of Grayskull" to the sword. There's so much wrapped up in that small moment.

Big nostalgia feelings for when @MarcusScribner's voice was still cracking. Stan Bow for clear skin.

First episode directed by @Jen_Benben who is now one of my dear buds. She had to nail the dynamic that would define the entire show: Adora and Catra.

Catra retreating into the smoke... my heart... every, EVERY time.

S1E3: I love the other teens in the Horde locker room!

Catra tearing up the bed and crying. Iconography.

This episode began production right around the time of the 2016 election. So many people had made such a hurtful decision. This episode reminds me of that time, of coming into the room the next morning. @CozyJamble brought soothing pastries and we all talked for a long time.

I used to love listening to all the actor auditions. I remember when we got @kestonjohn's in and hoping they'd pick him. His voice crawled around the inside of my skull. Catra is so scared of him here. The robot arms. The backlighting. Metal as fuck.

S1E4: Perfuma's kingdom! All the people of Plumeria have surfer-dude-type voices. Those were really funny records.

Lady Himbo Scorpia is probably Crew-Ra's favorite character. If I were to guess.

@Jordan_Fisher as Sea Hawk is so unbelievably funny. Every take he did was hysterical. I am particularly fond of the high pitch squeaks he makes when Glimmer teleports right next to him.

Ugh. It's so clear so early on how hard Glimmer works to do the right thing, to save her friends at any cost. My heart.

S1E6: EVERYONE SHUT UP IT'S ENTRAPTA'S EPISODE

I just got so sucked into this one. Christine Woods kills me. She makes so many wonderful vocalizations for Entrapta. And @aimeecarrero as infected Adora is forever funny. I love Entrapta's musical motif. Listen carefully to the show and you'll hear it in interesting places...
