starting a garden has given me such a deep appreciation for the food i eat everyday. it’s one thing to read about how your food gets made it’s another to put in the labor required to keep plants alive and productive. it’s really beautiful and it’s changed my relationship with
eating, my body, capitalism, and more that i haven’t begun to fully appreciate yet. i’ve learned so much about the earth about imperialism and climate change in the last few months and it’s completely changed my life for the better. my priorities have shifted my vision for my
future and our collective future. i think everyone should try to grow something on their windowsill and not just because we’re facing a food shortage.
i’m not sure where this is going to take me or where i’m taking this thread but i wanted to share.
feeling as grateful as i am feeling mentally ill
